Coming up with a shop name can be challenging. If you are creative like I am you will have tons of ideas for your shop name.
I kept in mind what type of products and services that I would be offering to my clients/customers. During this daunting task I came up with a few helpful things to accomplish this task.
I found that creating a list of things that I like helped me decide on what name I wanted to use. My list of likes consists of colors, patterns, places, foods, and other various things that I like. Yes, I said food.
Before I even began this list I decided that I wanted the word design and/or studio in this shop name. So that was already decided and that was helpful.
I also reached out to my sister and I tossed my ideas around to her. She loved some of my ideas and some she didn’t like. I appreciated the feedback and I eventually figured out a name.
Jotting down things can help your creative flow. Don’t spend too much time on this. Just jot down the first few things that come to mind. You can combine words and come up with fun ideas. This is exactly how I accomplished naming my shop.
Here is the list that I put together. If you were curious.
Shop Name Ideas:
Pickles & Pixels
The Aesthetic Studio
The Blissful Studio
The Blissful Pixel Studio
Eventually this list became an obsession of mine. So I had to limit my time with it. You should probably do the same and not spend a lot of time on it. There are other things that need to be done before your launch date for your freelance studio.
It’s okay if the name doesn’t pop in your mind right away. The right shop name will eventually come to you. You’re allowed to think about it but don’t over think it.
Making a list or two was a good idea for me to do. It helped me organize my thoughts and ideas on my shop name. I’m pretty pleased with the name that I picked for my design studio.
