A1C: Today I Am Grateful

Today I am grateful. I am grateful because I had a doctors appointment today that went well. I have a couple of health problems that I need to continue to work on but the major thing that I was concerned about is nothing to worry about.

A few weeks ago I had an eye appointment and my doctor alerted me that my vain that is connected to diabetes was inflammated. I had my A1C tested and it was a great number. 4.8 was my number that popped up on my blood work.

My doctor said that this was a fantastic number to have. She even wanted to trade me A1C numbers! I of course had no idea what that number meant so I went digging around.

The first link that popped up was a link from WebMD. Here is the chart that I found.

Now I see that my number 4.8 is below normal!! You guys!! This is fantastic news for me!! I’m in a great range with my blood sugar. This is super important to me especially when I am from a family that has diabetes.

I try to limit my sugar intake and make sure that I mainly drink water. I am obviously doing a good job at it. I am so grateful for my blood results pertaining to my A1C.

After hearing bad news after bad news at doctors appointments, it’s really nice to finally hear something positive!
