What Are You Doing With It?

The stimulus checks are on their way to Americans if you haven’t already received yours. Some people need them while others aren’t hurting for money.

This brings up the topic of what are you going to do with it? Are you paying bills, providing food for your family, spending it on something fun, or sticking the money back?

Before my husband and I received our money we discussed what we would do with the money. We have been working hard on saving up for some land to buy in a different state.

We talked about saving it, putting it back in different saving accounts, and we talked about several other options. We both agreed that we should treat ourselves. We are spending the money however we see fit.

When the money arrived we set back the money that belongs to his daughter in a savings account that she will later on receive once she’s 18. We do not trust a certain someone with this money so it’s in an account until his daughter turns 18.

Once that money was taken out there was $2800.00 left over. Each of us had $1400.00. This is a nice chunk of money for one person to do whatever with.

I wanted to use mine to buy things on Etsy and other small businesses. I also wanted to put back some for our trip in June. I split up the money in half. I went directly to certain shops that I had recently discovered.

After those purchases I went to my save for later cart on Etsy. I bought everything there. I then went to my favorited items and began buying things from that list. Then I made my way to shops that I’ve found on Instagram and Facebook.

For the next few posts they will be about these items I have found from small businesses. I’m excited to share these orders with you. I encourage you to go check out the shops as I’m mentioning them. I promise that you will find something that you can’t live without.
