What makes you happy? Is it the people who you surround yourself with? Is it coffee? Is it music? Is it the fur baby that brings you a ball to play fetch with? What brings you happiness?
For me, happiness is when I focus on 5 certain things. These are very simple things that I focus on. It has helped me daily with feeling happy. Here are 5 different “tips” to living a happy life.
These have helped me so I hope you find them helpful. Maybe you can come up with your own or add to my list that I already have.
Tip number one is always focus on yourself. When you are focusing on your own business you don’t have time to focus on others and their behavior towards you.
You can even find a new hobby or keep diving into the creative outlets that you already have. The point is to focus on yourself and not what others are doing.
Tip number two is to be your authentic self. Never apologize for being who you are. There will always be at least one person who will say that you’re not good enough. But don’t allow a toxic person to have power over you.
Grow in healthy ways. Better yourself. Learn how to love who you are no matter what imperfections you have. Be your authentic self.
Tip number three is to not care about your haters and stalkers. People are hateful. People who hate you will stalk you.
For me, that used to stress me out knowing that I have stalkers who watch me online. I hid behind fake names just to give myself privacy. It took years for me not to give a damn what my haters and stalkers are doing to me.
I know for a fact that my husband’s ex-wife stalks me. I also know for a fact that I have a list of haters and stalkers that keeps piling up and they are watching me too. I can’t control that these people check up on me.
Don’t hide from the world just because you can’t control your haters and stalkers. Do not give yourself the mind capacity to try to figure out why they check up on you.
Tip number four is to find music that reminds you of happy times in your life. There are always songs that reminds you of dark times in your life. Maybe the words aren’t the best lyrics and they drag you into a state of depression.
Music is powerful and we have to be aware of the music that we listen to. Find music that reminds you of the happy times in your life. Find music that has positive lyrics and an upbeat to it.
I promise you that listening to positive music will seriously effect your entire day.
Tip number five is to limit your time on social media. Wait. Hold up. How would limiting your time on social media help make you live a happy life? Here’s the deal. When you limit your time on social media you are able to focus on the people around you.
You have to surround yourself with people who are good people. You have to surround yourself with people who support your life decisions and dreams.
So limiting your social media time will help you focus on that. It also gives your family the time they deserve from you.
