I recently purchased a makeup palette from Almay. Before you cruelty free people get onto me let me finish here. I wasn’t aware that Almay wasn’t cruelty free. I saw a pretty makeup palette and I wanted it. I bought it, I tried it, and I loved it. Then I got to thinking about it.. Is this cruelty free? So I Googled it and nope! Almay isn’t cruelty free. This honestly pissed me off. How can a company be okay with animal testing? I’m certainly not okay with it. Recently I am trying to be mindful when I shop for makeup. Unfortunately this go around I was too excited about the wonderful colors that I wasn’t thinking.
There are a lot of companies that test on animals. I found a site called Cruelty Free Kitty. I went browsing through the site and I’m shocked at common brands that test on animals. This made me super sad. I need to go through my makeup and toss out the makeup that isn’t cruelty free. There’s a lot of good information on Cruelty Free Kitty.
