My Medical Issues

My medical issues began at a young age and while I had no idea about my bad health I continued to live with hypothyroidism and kidney issues. My parents never really cared about the basic care that a child needs, much less seek out medical help for them. So for a long time my health was ignored.

My stones have ranged from 1mm to 10mm in size. I have 107 allergies and 87 of those are food allergies. With these sicknesses I’m always in and out of the doctors office. Since 2007 this has been an on going search to find out what is going on.

First the doctor in 2007 said that I had Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) but the symptoms continued. After I gave up on the 3rd doctor, I finally found Dr Drew Hayhurst which found my bad gallbladder that had several stones in it. So I had it removed in 2012. Even after the surgery something didn’t feel right. I was still overweight at the great weight of 243 pounds. No diet would ever get me lower than 210 pounds.

Doctor Drew Hayhurst retired and I was again looking for a doctor who would listen to me. Doctor after doctor I struggled going in and out of odd doctor offices.

Doctor Ross would be the next doctor that I saw. I suffered from depression brought on by unresolved childhood trauma. So I began trying different anti-depressants. I tried 4 different ones but the last one I tried caused me to have a seizure in 2014 while at school.

My main and almost the only support system that I have is my husband. There’s a slim percentage that actually understands these health issues of mine.
