Our wedding was kind of last minute. Pretty much just a day to get ready before tying the knot. We called family on both sides and only mine showed up. Justin called his mother to let her know about the wedding and to tell his sisters about it. We wanted my bonus daughter in the wedding and we asked his mother to bring her please. She made up an excuse why she wouldn’t be there. She was going wedding dress shopping with her daughter. But Justin and I are thankful for the family and friends who gathered with us on our wedding day.
There wasn’t a wedding dress, there wasn’t a tuxedo, there wasn’t a limo, there wasn’t a professional photographer, but there was cold weather. I didn’t care if it was cold. I’m marring the man of my dreams. That’s all I could think about as I repeated my vows. This man is now my husband and we get to grow old and happy together. In a wedding it doesn’t matter how big or small of a wedding. It’s about the vows between one another. A wedding is about making a promise to stand by each others side for better or for worse. I along with my husband take our vows very seriously. It was a small wedding and we wished more friends and family could have joined us.
